License

A valid license is required to use AFDEX.

If the license is not registered or has expired, some features may be restricted or the program may stop running.

License Types

AFDEX may use the following licensing methods depending on the usage environment:

  • Network License

A method where multiple users share a license by connecting to a license server.

  • APA License

A license provided by ALTAIR.

It will change to Siemens starting July 1, 2026.

Check License Status

Network License

Run the License Manager (C:\AFDEX\LicenseManager\Bin\AFDEX_License_Manager.exe). - License Usage Checks the license usage status.

Network Usage

  • Log Outputs the communication log between the client and the server.

Network Usage

  • Summary Outputs the modules, expiration, and number of users of the issued license.

APA License

  1. Run Altair License Utility.

  2. Switch to the License Usage tab.

  3. HWPartner0232 must exist in the Tree. If HWPartner0232 is not available, you must request its allocation from your Altair representative to use APA_AFDEX.
